1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO

The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling the i3 EVO are the same robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying features. The i3+ is a great option for those looking for a a fully automated, hands-off cleaning experience, but want to manually empty the robot's dustbin when it is full.

Both robots are adept in removing dirt and dust particles on hard floors and carpets and are able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes smart maps of your home that help the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. However unlike the i7+ and other top rated robots we test, the i3+ doesn't have any obstacle-avoidance features and therefore it could get stuck on things like socks or power cords and may have issues in navigating through transitions between surfaces like from hardwood to rug.

iRobot suggests cleaning the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes putting away any toys or clutter it may encounter. You should also keep the dustbin and filters free of dirt to prevent them from getting blocked. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or its battery is low, it returns to its docking station and automatically emptying its trash into the station's dust bin and continues cleaning the area where it began. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes around three hours to recharge.

2. IRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot i7+ is the top model in iRobot's flagship line and is packed with the latest features. It is self-charging and self-navigating, but the most significant feature is its self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba I7+ is able to better map rooms with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and direct your robot by voice or via the app.

The i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy it self-empties its dust bin which removes a major source of maintenance and lowers the amount of time spent cleaning.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning routines and to move around the room, and even vacuum the area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After being connected, to voice commands to the i7+ for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car in a world of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of households and can fit nicely on a coffee table or on shelves where you can wave it around like the magic wand.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell, high-energy lithium-ion battery that can provide energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filter system traps allergens, then lets cleaner air into your home. The specially designed head utilizes stiff nylon bristles to penetrate into carpets and collect large particles or fine dust. It has three suction modes that can be adjusted to suit the task. It can quickly change from handheld to floor vacuum and vice versa.

This model also has an accessory dock that can charge to 100% in around 3.5 hours and offers an easy access to two attachments as well as a clip for a wand. This is a huge improvement over the older Dysons, that require a long charge and are difficult to store.

The main issue with the V10 is its limited running time. The claims of its marketing that it can provide up to 60 minutes of running time are misleading as CR's tests show. This is an average, not an exceptional, run time for the battery-powered cordless vacuum. This is enough time to vacuum the typical home, but not enough to reach every spot. (A second run usually works). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeable superior for carpet floors with low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694

The 694 is a basic robotic vacuum that's a great option for those who don't have a lot of money to spend on an expensive robot. It was able to remove all kinds of debris and sizes in our tests and would often go over the same area many times to give an efficient clean. The flat front of the unit allows it to reach into corners and along the edges of walls, which is a nice addition.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of iAdapt technology to steer clear of obstacles and help you navigate your home. It's not equipped with the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, including our top picks, i3+EVO and J7+ Series. It can get stuck on phone cords or furniture and will often run out of power before returning to its base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways to the Roomba 694 in that it has less parts that require regular cleaning, is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, incurs lower costs for recurring expenses and is more sophisticated in its automation capabilities and is better able to move itself.  robotic vacuum cleaner sale  has a bigger dustbin and is charged faster.

The eufy RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for a variety of reasons, since it has a longer battery life, has the ability to alter the suction power mode by hand, comes with physical boundary strips, and can be operated by your phone's voice assistant. It also feels more sturdy, has a more powerful motor, and works better on both bare floors and low-pile carpet, while providing a wider array of automation features.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a household name in the field of home electronics. It's no surprise that they are also among the top manufacturers of robot vacuums and mop. Jet Bot AI+ has an advanced onboard technology that allows to navigate and avoid obstacles.

The app gives you plenty of options to customize your robotic cleaner, including virtual barriers mopping water levels, behavior adjustments, docking frequency settings, and more. It's simple to comprehend and easy to use, just as is the case with other Samsung devices.

In our testing, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and dealt with dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86 percent of it. However, it didn't do particularly well in avoiding larger objects, like cords and socks which was a disappointment. It's also more expensive than the other models we've tested and this could be a problem for some shoppers.

The smart vacuum has an onboard camera that is accessible through the app. You can also set up a live streaming from the robot's cleaning station. This feature allows you to keep track of your pets or children when you're away from home. The filter and the dustbin can be washed for the quick and easy cleaning. The Jet Bot AI+ comes with a self-emptying clean station, which helps to keep the robot's bin clear and optimizes suction power.

6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum

In contrast to other robotic vacuums which are designed for both hard floors and carpets, Black and Decker robots are designed specifically for hard floors. The robots come with an extra wide cleaning path, as well as dust bins that are 2X bigger than the competitors. This lets them clean the area for a longer period of time. Additionally, they come with two side sweepers that clean along edges and in corners. The POWERSERIES model comes with AutoSense that automatically adjusts the power level based on whether it is cleaning up dirt on the surface or embedded dirt. The vacuum also comes with an app that lets users to see an interactive map, control functions, and create schedules. Plus, you can monitor the battery's status and then return it to its dock to charge at the push of the button. The app also allows you to customize the LED lights on top of the vacuum by using different colors so you can easily tell which areas it's focused on or where it's stuck.

The application also allows you to manually steer the robot in the event of need. My living room rug, for instance has a dark-colored border which could cause a problem for other robots. However, the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border, without registering it as an incline. Also, the ability to create a weekly cleaning schedule is a great time-saving convenience.
